How to Make a Rope Hammock Swing

I went on hammock camping last week.

I wanted to surprise my friends by doing something exceptional by making my hammock swing without struggling much.

But when I searched for how to make a rope hammock swing on google, I found nothing useful.

All they talked about was how to tie a rope hammock and the best hammock knots to tie to a tree or post.

So I thought I should improvise and do it myself.

So today in this post I will talk about how I made a rope hammock swing without struggling much while lying on the hammock.

Step 1: I Took an Extra Hammock Tying Post

So what I basically did was, I took an extra hammock tying post with me on the camping.

My friends wondered why I took an extra post with me. I told them nothing as I wanted to surprise them.

Step 2: Making a Hole in the Hammock Post

I had to make a hole in the extra hammock post with a welding machine before taking it with me to the camping event.

Step 3: I Took an Extra Piece of Nyloc Cord Rope

I took a piece of nylon cord rope with me. Nylon cord ropes are slippery which can make a rope hammock swing more conveniently.

Step 4: Tying the Nylon Cord Rope

I tied the nylon cord rope with one side of the hammock.

Step 5: Making a Loop with The Nylon Cord Rope through the Hole of the Extra Post

I took a piece of nylon cord rope and cut it.

I made a loop with a knot through the hole of the extra hammock post.

Step 6: Setting Up the Extra Hammock Post

At first, I set up the hammock.

Then I put the extra hammock post beside the hammock (In the side where the nylon cord was tied)

Step 7: Taking the Nylon Cord Rope through Loop of the Extra Post

I took the nylon cord rope that was tied with the side of the hammock through the loop of the extra hammock post.

That’s it!

When I was lying on the hammock, I kept the other part of the nylon cord rope with me.

When I pulled the rope, it pulled the hammock in the side of the hammock post.

It made me swing without much struggle!
